Oh hi!
My journey in weddings began in 2015, standing beside brides in the quiet, emotional moments before the day truly began — ensuring their hair was perfect and their vision brought to life. Those early years as a bridal stylist gave me an intimate, behind-the-scenes understanding of what brides truly need: calm guidance, attention to detail, and someone who shows up when it matters most.
Wanting to support couples beyond the beauty chair, I became a certified Wedding Planner & Coordinator through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada (WPICC) in 2017 — and I’ve been passionately immersed in this industry ever since.
I entered wedding planning for one simple reason: I love love. Add in a very type-A personality, an art-kid brain, and a genuine appreciation for both structure and creativity, and this felt like exactly where I was meant to land. I thrive where timelines meet aesthetics, and where the smallest details make the biggest difference.
Early on, I knew I wanted to do things differently. Wedding planning can be intimidating, overwhelming, and sometimes downright stressful — so I leaned fully into becoming your wedding bestie. The person who keeps everything organized and moving forward, but who you can also vent to, joke with, and absolutely send memes to while spiralling over a seating chart crisis at 1 a.m. (Yes, I bring a sewing kit — and nerves of steel.)
Today, my work has naturally evolved into full-service and “fill-in-the-gaps” planning — stepping in wherever support is needed, connecting every detail, and ensuring each wedding day unfolds seamlessly from the first plan to the final moment. Alongside planning, I’m also a full-time hairdresser of over 10 years and a bridal stylist, which gives me a unique understanding of how wedding days actually flow — from prep to portraits to the last dance.
I’m incredibly proud to have been recognized for this work, placing Gold in Wedding Planners and Event Planners in 2023, and Platinum in Wedding Planners and Gold in Event Planners in 2024 for Sarnia Community Votes— honours that reflect my commitment to thoughtful planning, calm execution, and genuinely supportive client experiences.
You might be wondering where the name Eventures came from. To me, every event is an adventure — emotional, logistical, beautiful, and unforgettable in its own way. That belief is what inspired the name and continues to shape how I approach every celebration I’m trusted with.
When I’m not working weddings, you’ll find me being a proud Swiftie, hanging out with my Scottish Fold, Cyr, traveling during the off-season, kayaking all summer long, or hunting down great food (which is why our best planning meetings usually happen over dinner).
I’ve truly loved my years in this industry and can’t wait to see what eventures are still to come.
— Keira Hong, your wedding bestie
